Area Sales Manager



The Area Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining the RIS high standard of service to existing customers, while also developing and expanding our service offering with new and existing customer base within their territorial area and perform/report on set KPI’s. The successful candidate will also be expected to comply with policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory requirements.


  • Provide account management for the nominated accounts, which will include the implementation of the development plan.
  • Utilise all sources of customer information, especially Customer Relationship
    Management (CRM), to effectively sell the value and service proposition to the customer base.
  • Achieve the sales, profitability and other targets within the nominated customer account base, taking account of Activity Based Management (ABM)
  • Action urgent requests in a timely manner, keep stakeholders informed with up to date Other ad hoc duties
  • Understanding current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and good documentation practices (GDP) in the performance of day-to-day activities.
  • Contribute to the effective operation of the business through active collaboration in activities required as a senior member of the business team.
  • Provide management with required reports, information and feedback to contribute to the effective strategic planning, budgeting and performance management of the business in agreed formats and within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with RIS SOP’s.
  • Ensure that all training requirements are kept fully up to date.


  • 5 years Working in a fast-paced Service industry.
  • Experience with ERP stems.
  • Have good attention to detail and be able to prioritize.
  • Ability to work with detailed information in a structured fashion.
  • Excellent communication and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instruction.
  • Excel, Word and Outlook skills.


Conscientious and hardworking individual who has the ability to work effectively in a fast moving environment, whilst maintaining accuracy at all times. Ability to work to tight deadlines and to deal with several issues at once.
