SUPPORT PROGRAMMES

Repair and Support Program

Where viable, RIS works with our customers and suppliers to review opportunities to repair rather than replace. Each of our stores has a laydown area where site maintenance teams can leave items that could potentially be repaired. We then work with our suppliers to review each of these items to see if repair is possible.

There are numerous factors to consider, including safety, cost, of repair, efficiency, and downtime. This includes identification, receipt of returned items, structured, return processing, failure, analysis, repair cost estimate, repair vs. replace estimates, and customer communication.

RIS works with customers’ engineering teams to identify opportunities where products can be repaired rather than replaced. We present these findings, which are then documented in our Project Cost Savings tracker. The customer makes the decision to proceed based on the cost-benefit potential and compliance with issues such as warranties.

We have a fully documented returns process controlled in conjunction with our Quality department. Rexel works with various suppliers on behalf of our customers to offer re-work and repair programs based on client-specific requirements. We take a proactive, customer-centric approach to identifying re-work and repair programs based on manufacturing processes and parts used.

REVERSE ENGINEERING OF BESPOKE PARTS

Damaged parts such as stainless-steel shafts and guiderails are repaired through RIS’ supply chain partners. This extends the life of the part and generates hard savings for our clients.

MOTOR PROGRAMMES

Electrical motors are rewound to increase the life of the part, generating hard savings for our clients.

MECHANICAL SEAL PROGRAMMES
